Technology

IPS uses an extensive set of state-of-the-art machinery and a wide range of processing techniques:

 


Low-pressure injection moulding

  • IPS has four Johnson machines (Uniloy): one 500 tonne, one 750 tonne and two 1,000 tonne
  • Technique often used for production of thick-walled objects


High-pressure injection moulding

  • The most common injection moulding technique used in the sector
  • IPS has extensive and flexible capacity, with 34 machines ranging from 80 to 3,200 tonnes (25 kg injection capacity)
  • Almost all machines are equipped with robots for removing the components.


Gas-assisted injection moulding/structural web technology

  • A special and complex technique used only with low-pressure injection moulding machines
  • Ensures even colouring, enhanced hollowing of thick-walled sections and lower density.

 


Injection Compression Moulding

  • IPS has one Remaplan machine (2,000 tonnes)
  • Used to manufacture thin-walled products
