Drankenpallet Beheer Nederland B.V (DPB) collaborates with IPS !

DPB was founded in 1994 as the uniform palletpool for Dutch beverage producers with container deposit packaging.

After years of study they have decided to replace all their wooden pallets with plastic pallets in 2012.

DPB chose IPS as their partner which resulted in the creation of a unique pool pallet.

The pallet, made of recycled HDPE, is durable, strong, stable in form and light and it has been made according to the “cradle to cradle” principle meaning the pallet will be recycled at the end of its lifecycle.

Moreover the pallet has anti-slip strips, grommets and blocks to ensure a safe transport of the goods.

IPS takes great pride in the collaboration with DPB, the Dutch breweries and a large group of soft drink producers and canning manufacturers.

- Sustainable: plastic pallets are much more durable than wooden pallets. This means they need to be replaced much less often.

- Less CO2: the durability of plastic pallets means less restocking and so less transport. Plastic pallets also weigh less than wooden pallets. The end result is less CO2 emissions caused by transport.

- Recycling: plastic pallets are typically made from recycled materials. Moreover, they are 100% recyclable themselves. It’s a win-win situation!

Technology

R&D and Technology

Some IPS pallets are made of two separate components, a production characteristic that offers many advantages:

- Flexible design: because deck and base are produced separately, there are more possibilities to vary the number of runners or choose special colour combinations.

- Double wall: 2-component pallets have double walls. This makes them sturdier and more durable.

- Cost-effective: we can produce various types of pallets using the same deck.
